Trenchless solutions just keep getting better. From inverted Cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) renovations that require little-to-no digging, to rapid, low-impact curing solutions that get your pipes back to fully functional in a matter of minutes, the trenchless industry continues to innovate. High-tech solutions threaten to push pipe excavation into total obsolescence.
And why wouldn’t they? Nobody really wants to dig up their yard. It’s noisy, messy, and leaves a bare strip of dirt across your lawn. Not only that, but it takes too long and costs a pile of money.
Luckily, you don’t have to excavate your yard to fix pipes anymore. In fact, with trenchless solutions, you can renovate entire sewer pipe systems. That means if your house is in the 30-50 year old range, you can upgrade all your pipes, without needing excavation, before the inevitable failure strikes.

The latest and greatest in trenchless CIPP
Innovators are always looking for ways to improve CIPP installation. One area they’ve found room for improvement is the curing process. With traditional methods, like steam, hot water, or a good old-fashioned ambient cure, you’re looking at hours just to cure your new pipes.
So why not try a new resin that can be rapidly cured with exposure to UV light? Steam and hot water require (as you would expect) a large volume of hot water. This is costly in both time and energy.

If, at this point, you’re wondering why we can’t just use any old fast-acting resin, that’s because we need work time to ensure that the new pipe is properly installed. The cool thing about UV is that it doesn’t begin curing until the light hits it. At that point, it cures rapidly.
UV curing is taking over CIPP for multiple reasons
The equipment is small and consumes much less energy than steam and heat-assist. All it takes is alight train + CCTV camera that crawls down the tube. As it goes, it inspects the pipe for quality control. If everything appears good, the light train makes its way back with the UV light on. It moves at a controlled rate to ensure that curing is thorough.
By the time it emerges from the pipe, the new pipe is complete and ready to use. The technicians can pack up their equipment and get out of your hair, and you can get back to business/life as usual.
We estimate that our UV curing system can cure liners at 5-6 times the rate of traditional methods. Not only does this mean that our customers get their pipes working in record time, but we can get more jobs done in a day. That, in turn, means that your local trenchless operator can get to your job sooner. With cutting edge trenchless tech, we’re getting there sooner and getting it done faster. It’s a win for everybody.
